The Living End guys are off once again to Western Australia to do a gig at Northwest Festival in Port Hedland on Saturday 18 August. Along with them playing is the Cat Empire and hip-hop group Hilltop Hoods among others. Tickets go on sale 25 May via moshtix.com.au

Never fear, lurkers! We are still here. We're super apologetic that we haven't been giving you guys the slew of updates we should be! Super, super sorry! We've been busy with work and other sportsy, out/indoorsy things as the Canadian summer approaches!



The Living End guys have been laying it low the last little while after they took on the Australian summer festival circuit in Adelaide, Launceston, Newcastle, Manly Beach, the annual Big Day Out festival and many other places around the country.




Things have been so quiet that the Living End headquarters have been brewing up a HUGE announcement, which will include something for everyone! We're hoping for a tour that will eventually sneak back to our area after a six year lull of no North American tour dates! That is just one of the many (and silly) speculations going around on the official Facebook page as well as the Living End's official forum.




In other news for all of you collectors out there, The Living End and HQ have set up a merchandise sale in honour of record store day in Australia, with some tee shirt prices being slashed in half! Check out Fist2Face to see what they have available for grabs!

Chris Cheney was featured on, naturally, an Australian quiz game show last night on Channel Ten called "Talkin' 'Bout Your Generation." Contestants are quizzed on pop culture knowledge from three different generations; Baby Boomers, Generation X and Generation Y, hence the name of the show. They compete in six rounds of various games related to the said generations and points are rewarded for each correct answer.

We did not watch this episode, as we are over in Canada, however by reading how it works we're assuming Chris was squeezed into the Generation X team. If you are in Australia and missed Chris' episode, the full video is available on the Channel TEN video player over at the Channel TEN website.

The Living End are off to Manly Beach, Sydney for their wicked beach performance at the Australian Open of Surfing on 18 February! Along with other bands such as management mates Children Collide and all sister band, Stonefield they will be playing on the Channel [V] Music Stage later in the day.




Andy especially cannot wait for the performance day. He told them; "If someone was to ask me what my favourite combo was, I'd say bacon and eggs, or smoked salmon and capers, or cold beer and chips or... surfing and rock 'n' roll! At last, my two biggest passions have come together and the best job in the world has just gotten better! I can't begin to tell you how stoked we are to be a part of this event. It's gonna be amazing! See you there!"



And the best part? The show is ALL AGES and to top it all off, THE SHOW IS FREE!
